Love Is Not The Answer, It is Our Being or How to Heal The Inner Child
79
Love is not just the answer.
Love is Our BEING.
I dare write these words for I know this to be true. I cannot deny that which is revealed to me with such clarity. We love. We cannot help but love. We cannot live without it. Everything we do, we do out of love, for love, with love, in love and by love.
Love empowers us.
Love powers us.
Love produces love.
And yet many of us have forgotten who and what we really are. Why?
Why is it that we choose to see the ugliness of a child born out of wedlock instead of the beauty and wonder of a miracle? Why is it that we choose to magnify the filth of a teenage alcoholic instead of the need of love and guidance for this lost soul? Why do we choose to ridicule practices of various religious groups instead of thanking them for helping many lead better lives? Why do we choose to highlight the dirt of politicians instead of appreciating their policies that favor the underprivileged? And why do we choose to see the imperfections in our bodies instead of acknowledging its power to sustain the blows of everyday stress? Why do we choose to see the hate in love, as I have?
The answers came in bits and pieces during the past three days. It culminates with this hub. I heal as I write, as I share. I tremble still but choose to see love and write an open letter with love to the wounded child who has forgotten she is loved - for like a flower that has not felt the nourishing warmth of the sun, she too has lost her glow.
The Inner Journey
To my little Daisy,
I never knew I would be doing this, having to write you instead of talking to you straight. My emotions drown out my ability to speak clearly, you see. I need you to understand. I need for you to read this over and over again that you may remember.
You need not fear. No more. All is well now. It's safe to come out and play. Take my hand and join me in that happy place. You remember that happy place, don't you? The forest, the waterfalls, the wild flowers, the exotic plants, the wild animals - they're all there. Remember? Yes, the sea too, the sky, the wind, the rain, the sun - all of it - they all await your dance, your song, your jokes, your silly acts, your theatrics and even your mood swings. They all miss you. I miss you too.
I hardly remember how you looked when you smiled. I'd like to see your smile again - hear your laughter again. Come out and dance like you used to when dad would prop you up on the table and proudly announce to house guests, your impromptu dance number. Remember how fun it was to pick up the coins they'd throw on the table after your performance? You just loved the love displayed during those times...from dad, mom and even from people you hardly knew.
Come with me and let's hike the hills, climb trees, pick mangoes, ride the bike, play jackstones, blow plastic balloons, make paper boats, fly kites, catch grasshoppers, dragon flies and toads just like the good old days with your brothers and sisters. We could even watch water buffalos bathe lazily in mud, identify birds sitting atop forest trees from the farthest distance and name the kind of clouds we see during long road trips. Those were love-filled moments, right? You simply shared the wonder and excitement of life --- together --- with loved ones who loved you back. They did.
Remember how they'd patiently wait for you to dress up for school or listen to your endless delivery of memorized poetry and their endearing giggles catching you practicing "Invictus" in front of the mirror? How about the times they'd help you in school assignments while you grudgingly obeyed them as you itched to play games with the neighbors, do you remember those days? Yes, that too, the storytelling sessions with Aunt Jocelyn!
You remember! I'm glad. Yes, you always looked forward to those moments when all the siblings gathered together in a circle --- wide-eyed listening intently to what Pandora's box contained or what kind of ghosts abound in our provinces. Those were thrilling adventures with loved ones made extra special by a jolly teacher aunt who simply loved having us listen to valuable lessons hidden behind stories and fables and folklores.
We can do that again, you know. Seek lessons behind stories. I know of one who can tell you endless stories. She's like a bullet train, speeding up from one story to another. At times she can be a jet plane zooming from one story to another and return to a previous story without missing a beat and laughs gleefully when I give her the "there you go again" look. I can't help but laugh along. I laugh, giggle a lot with her. We have fun together. She's a friend and she's just about your age too.
She's out there now dancing and twirling with the wind, singing joyfully with the birds, skipping around meadows gently brushing the flowers with her outstretched hands and takes pleasure in feeling the soothing flow of the river as she sits on a rock.
Little Daisy, I know you're sacred and I'm sorry if I thought It would be safer for you to hide instead. I was wrong. I guess the more I hid you from the pain the more I caused you pain. I didn't know any better. But things have changed now. It's safe to play again because there are no monsters after all. They just looked like monsters. Now I see them for what they are... scared little ones who needs to remember they are loved and are expressions of love.
Come hold my hand and be free once more, dream once more, play once more and uncover the love in the most unlikely of places, in the most unlikely of beings and create a world filled with colorful shades of hope, joy, peace and love abundant.
I love you. Never think for one moment that I blamed you. I never did.
I never blamed you too... a tiny voice answers back. I must stop to listen more...........
I never blamed you for wanting to protect me because I knew you loved me. I love you as much as you love me. Love never blames anyone or anything. It just loves.
The sun never blames the rain when the sky is gloomy. The soil never hates the sun when it's too hot for water to flow freely. The flowers never accuse the bees of defiling their beauty nor complain about spiders squatting amongst their leaves.
Nothing uses anything. Everything is for anything. Everyone is for anyone. We exist for each other. That is the way of life. Life is love. Love is God is Life.
I wasn't in hiding. I was playing. Love is patient. And we both won.
Now, I want to meet this friend of yours, what's her name?
"Little Michelle", I whispered. Little Daisy giggles. I sit astounded and break down in recognition of a truth learned in the past but never really understood until now.
It has been several hours after the revealing encounter. I took the time to savor the experience. I am full of love. Thank you little one for speaking with such wisdom.
Love is Our BEING.
When we acknowledge and accept this as true then and only then can we start recognizing Love in others and love others fully, no matter who they are, what they are, no matter their beliefs and preferences. Loving others starts with loving the self unconditionally. I believe it's time you meet my friend and skip and hop and dance together ...... in the Land of the Loving.
With love overflowing,
Big Grateful Daisy
May all who chance upon this hub find the love within and share them here too for all to join the celebration of a new life within you. My love to all. Godbless:)
Note: I emailed Sis Michelle (ripplemaker) a draft of this hub. Below is her response. I share it here with her permission. i believe this lends strength to the message of this hub. thank you.

The Affirmation
Dearest Big and Little Daisy,
My heart cries as I read your words. I feel your wounded soul crying, seeking to understand things. I am thankful you have made peace with your little self because I too needed to do that. We all do. The question to the "why's" have been screamed by countless of souls for ages.
I guess the little one in me has memories of that --being playful, naughty, mischievous, having fun, having a lot of faith and trust, knowing that the whole garden is just a fun place to be. And God would be there watching proudly, smiling and nodding with approval.
Big Michelle tends to "hate" her sometimes though because that makes her odd in this world. This "child-like" responses make her look different and different here is not taken too well. And when people would respond in a not so positive way, Big Michelle stiffles the little one's giggles and hides her somewhere.
I've learned to go with the flow of life, not hating, not questioning angrily but accepting that there are sunny days, cloudy days and stormy weathers with floods on occasions. Life never stops. It goes on. And so do we.
We are eternal. Nothing will ever cause us to fear again. You are right. We are LOVE seeking to express itself in its highest, grandest version and definition.
Go and Be Love everyday. You are and will always be LOVE.
Come little Daisy let's go and journey together...I see the birds in the air and look, there's a rainbow too! The last one to reach the mango tree is a rotten egg!!! Ruuuuuuunnnnnnnnn....
I love you dearly,
Big & Little Michelle (ripplemaker)

Very Touching.
It's amazing how the events of the past few days has brought you to the revelation of what we truly are. Those not so good memories which has clouded the glow of the little one in you can't hurt no more for you can now see the events in a better light. It takes a lot of strength to 'remember'. Go on live your life with love to the fullest!
I am trying to catch you...I am running and running but you are far to far away...wait for me....I am slow...I am older..I am sad...I want to hold your hand...God's Hand is reaching out...through ladies like you...Thank You..G-Ma :o) hugs
Never grow up! Learn, live and love, but never ever grow up :)
Everyday struggles cause us to bury our child - but its the child that finds the delight in life. Thank you for your heartwarming reminder of what life can look like if we're strong enough to see.
Bless you....
Hi dayzeebee
I would love to have grown up in a world of love which was a non existent word when i was growing up!,,,, I have read lots of your hubs and you are soo happy, joyful, inspiring and positive which i love and is so refreshing and this was such a sweeeeet story!,,,
:)
"Love is not the answer, Love is our Being"! Those are powerful words Dayzeebee! There is the Key, now we must TRUST to Turn it!!
I received an email this morning (a key lesson expanded from the Essential Laws of Fearless Living Pg. 132). Too long to type the whole thing but here is a keen insight: Stop Standing Outside Your Own Life - Seeking to comfort ourselves -- by clinging to the hope of a better time to come -- is like a hungry man standing outside a restaurant, looking in through the window, and trying to fill his empty stomach by watching other people eat.
The ending to this email is self-wholeness appears by itself within us once we stop searching for it.
A great and loving hub dayzeebee. ~Dottie~
Hi Dayzeebee...many thoughts went through my mind while reading your hub. Before I got it that 'big Daisy' and 'little Daisy' were having an exchange, some of the things you wrote sounded as though they could have come from Father God, our Abba daddy. I was reminded of when I was going through the book "Captivating" by John and Stasi Eldredge which deals with spiritual warfare, the wounds we've received in our lives, and how God wants to heal us. I've had to go down this path as well and I'm glad you've been set free.....
Some of what you painted with words made me think of paradise, or the Garden before the fall (even though I haven't been to the Philippines, I know Hawaii well and believe they have many similarities). Thanks for sharing more of you.
Just an observation, but I'm also reminded of your culture being superstitious with what you've shared!
Not sure if you selected those books with Amazon, but I can personally attest that "Love and Respect," "The Five Love Languages," and "I'll Love You Forever" are wonderful. The last one is so beautiful, as a mommy I cried the first few times I read it. Something to treasure and share with children.
Michelle's addition to your hub is wonderful, you both have amazingly beautiful hearts and the world needs more people like you.
The only thing if I dare say I don't agree with is Love is not God, God is love. What comes first? If it weren't for God, we wouldn't even know what love is.
Peace beloved.
Beautifully written. Life is not plain sailing. It is like sailing on the ocean with the waves constantly moving up and down. Sometimes you are on the crest and sometimes, the waves engulf you, but you are a survivor. You have been tried in the fiery furnace, and come out like sparkling gold. Thank the Lord.
I'm so happy -- you have found your center!!
Im Speechless!!
{{{thankyou:)}}}
:)
I cherish little Ananta65, Dayzeebee. As far as I’m concerned too many people are too busy being (or rather: acting) mature, responsible grownups. They hardly allow themselves to make mistakes, they hardly allow themselves to act irresponsibly, they hardly allow their innocent child to come out and play. As a result many of them are unable to truly connect with and reach out to young children.
Living is an art and art is by definition an irrational process, in my humble opinion. Yes, we need to be aware of the consequences of our behavior, but we should not let our lives be ruled by them.
Dare to be natural, dare to be childish (whatever that may be) and dare to enjoy life!
Eyes can’t hide anything as far as I’m concerned :)
Snakes don’t fly! Snakes crawl up your legs, with their flashing tongue… Never mind, I was getting childishly naughty ;)
Beautiful, ...and "Hurray!" for you both.
Thank you for the affirmations and the reminders, "we" try never to forget all this, but sometimes still do.
Ron and Ronnie
You're welcome, Dayzeebee :) People are so much more complete when they accept who they are. And we are who we have been. Denying the child in you is denying part of yourself. At least, that's the way I look at things :)
Well done. I loved this hub and your beautiful spirit. Thank you.
i love all but all don,t love me
Your love and wisdom shines. The truth in these words reaches out and grabs my heart. Very warm and full of Love. Blessings always!
What a moving hub, dayzeebee. It's wonderful you have reconciled your past and present, and are resolved to move into your future with love and courage. God bless.
LOVE is a beautiful thing and you express it so, so...WONDERFULLY...thanks for putting a smile in my heart :)
This is the most beautiful hub I can imagine. There is nothing else then Love. You are pure Love...and the most precious Light in this world. Thank you for sharing this healing experience with all of us...after that, in that world, we can see only much more Love&Light. Be blessed...
I enjoyed your openness and honesty. Your writing is beautiful too. I am new to this Hub thing, but I can relate to the internal struggle between our negative and positive side. Love is the energy that takes us into the Light within.
It's my turn to be quiet.
If you could see my energy, its probably glowing as your words and Michelle's lifted me up so beautifully! I always say that children are the closest to God, and when we live in a state of true love, not the conditional one, coming from ego, we become like joyful children again. I experience this state with my mate, Phil, we skip over speed bumps in the park, act silly, laugh everyday, and throw caution to the wind!
Very caring hub - thanks Love -
Unconditional love of self is the hardest to "do/be."
Love the child within!
The journey of self actualization MUST include unconditional self love and your hub shows that you are well along on that journey. Keep up the great work.
Love Light and Laughter
Neil
Truly touching story, had tears in my eyes!!
Thanks, girls! ;)
Very Beautiful! My heart is truly touched as your description of love is very much what life was meant to be! I love your attraction to nature, as it has always served as my reference to paradise. I really admire the peace and serenity of early morning, sunrise by a calm lake with lots of trees and birds singing. Perhaps enjoying a cup of coffee with a loved one, or reading a book. I am working on a hub right now called "The key to Unity in the Family of God", and love is the key! If only the world would understand, and that it comes from God there would be no need to destroy the earth. I look forward to heaven! May much grace be with you... Blessings
Love is all around us. It is the thankfulness of the start of the day. The birds, the flowers, the sun and the moon. Our being and those that make our life worthwhile. So many people take it all for granted.
Thanks for sharing and bringing the childlike form to what we all need to experience inside of us each day to live a full life. My motto is to live life to the fullest!
love is what makes the world go round and personally speaking, or in this case typing, i love loving, being loved and being in love.
I believe what you said here is true dayzeebee. Love is supposed to be unconditional and non-judgmental. I love what you wrote here. Very inspirational. You deserve a thumbs up! :)
Oh, if you have time please check out my new hub I jsut published.http://hubpages.com/hub/What-You-Cannot-Control-Du

Hi Daisy;0)
Love your hub..I posted this on michelle`s hub this am and I thought you would like it too...you both are such tender loving people... god bless you both...Mike :0)
When I decided to give my life into Gods hands and follow him I learned very quickly that the word coincident no longer existed! Gods love is like a mighty but gentle flowing river and he invites us to throw caution to the wind and jump in and trust.
For the longest time I would hold onto the river bank, but in the end the current of the river became to strong and so I had to make a choice, either climb out to what I knew to be safe yet dull and mundane or let go and let the river carry me where ever.
So I let go YYYYYAAAAAYYYY and drifted out into the strong of the current of his powerful love!!!!!
Thus began the greatest adventure of my life and the meeting of a person I had never met, the real unafraid me, who could be bold, strong - yet humble!!! But most of all free , free to explore, climb to new heights, dive to new depths, and most of all fly high above my fears and look down and see them for what they truly are …nothing at all LOL
To borrow a well know phrase…To boldly go where no man has gone before! Deep inside to the real us and once there Trust God and him alone to heal and restore us…
Ok, going on and on….let me just say :0) its great to be on the true road to freedom and have the pleasure of meeting new wonderful friends like you :0) and someday we will all get to sit down in heaven and enjoy its beauty because we where willing to pay a price back on earth
God bless you deeply Michelle!!!!!!! Mike:0)
and you too daisy LOL :0))))
Hi daisy:0)
Thank you for the wonderful comments and becoming my fan:) Have a terrific week!!!!!!! God bless mike:0)
Dayzee, That was an absolutely wonderful story!!! My cup runneth over!!! It was very emotional for me. Thank you for writing it !! :)
God Bless
Julianna
This is quite disturbing because love is so powerful it disturbs the elements of the cosmos and if we all went around loving so much we might destroy the delicate balance of the atomic-structure of space.
Well it's just my theory anyway...more to come when I write more hubs on it.
But thanks for getting me thinking.
So well written! I see myself and my daughter in this Hub. It's extremely touching and open and wise.

Very impression article with cute picture!
Dayzee,
You and Michelle are doing a beautiful thing with these hubs and your blog. Continue spreading the good vibes around, we need more of those than ever.
Daisy,
Most like it hot.
Some like it cool.
I like to feel warm over,
Just like reading you.
Yes .. don't "Do" ... "Be" this is one that I will read and re-read.
hello dayzeebee,
What you are saying has touched my heart deeply but believe me I am still confuse up to this point when we talk of love. We all seem to know the idea of what love is but we can never truly grasp the whole meaning of such a simple four letter word.
Nicely written, I'm glad to have read this first amongst your hub.
The answer is clear ms lady... we all have love and we are all champions.
Hi, Dayzeebee: I came across this hub again, and linked yours with my latest on peace for the New Year where I share videso by John Lennon and more. Its another gem and wanted to share! :)
Just checked your profile and saw the link. How cool, thank you! :) And Happy New Year! Love your avatar!
I bow to this being called love. I pray that this being replicates all over this world. Great hub and I love this hub being.
Dayzeebee- I have missed your silent observation. Poor me I am not enlightened enough to decipher these subtle messages unless they are written down in comments. I wish that was true about me being wise. I keep making so many stupid mistakes all the time...LOL
I have seen Ripplemaker has been replicated into a wonderful person because of enlightenment from loving souls like you. Hope I also receive such mercy from great souls like you. Happy New Year and May God bless everyone with Health, Wealth and Happiness.
This is so full of hope. You are right. Love of all begins with unconditional love of self!
Karen
oooooooooooh we are pure energy>the most powerful energy source living within us and we are that energy>light>love>that surrounds us>envelopes us. We are this energy. Yes but this world and all it's distractions can fool us even for those who have experienced this truth>who know so blessed all those who reminds us. Bless you.
Great message & I love your artwork: very original :)
wow... I feel inspired after reading your hub dayzeebee, thank you , you've made my day.

My heart is so full mixed with so much emotions. I know you had to go through this the past few days--facing your past and the all the pain it held for you--and finally allowing the scared little girl within to come out again. I thank you for trusting me enough to hold my hand and come out from your shell. I cry because it is so good to realize that there is so much beauty in the discovery of truth--that our being is love. This truth stares at us in the face and when we finally decide to accept that which we are, who we are...a mighty river of healing flows mightily. I laugh because now we can continue with the journey of sharing this to all those we meet.
Love and hugs,
Little Michelle
PS. I love the drawings you made. Very cute, raw, simple and yet it speaks so much.
Come little Daisy, dry your tears now...let's play! Hahahaha
